What is Permanent Make Up (PMU)?

Microblading and lip blushing are types of PMU, also known as cosmetic tattooing, micropigmentation, or dermapigmentation. Both involve a cosmetic procedure that deposits pigment into the skin’s dermal layer to create the effect of makeup.

How Long does PMU last?

Microblading and lip blushing are semi-permanent cosmetic procedures. They can last 12–36 months, but it depends on many factors:

Skin type: Oily skin can cause pigments to break down faster, and conditions like eczema or psoriasis can speed up fading.

Hair color: Hair color can affect how long the results last.

Age: Whether you’re young or mature can impact the results.

Skincare routine: Using products with glycolic acid or AHA, or tanning, can cause the skin to resurface faster, which can make the pigment fade sooner

How do I know if I am a candidate for PMU?

A PMU consultation is a meeting with a Licensed Esthetician to discuss your goals, facial features, and preferences for the procedure. If you are a PMU candidate, your provider will then create a design that meets your needs and ensure that you are fully informed about the process, aftercare, and follow ups.

  I’ve seen Teneille twice so far for Morpheus to my face. She is caring, knowledgeable, funny and makes you feel comfortable during the whole process. I got there an hour early for numbing, during the process she explains what she is doing as she works which made me feel more comfortable. Afterwards, my face was pink like a mild sunburn which lasted less than a day. I purchased the aftercare set.

  I had a morpheus RF treatment done with Teneille Darlington, their very qualified nurse practitioner.  She is OUTSTANDING.  She was so kind and genuinely wanted to know my skin concerns. The procedure itself was NOT bad.  The numbing cream is essential, but she worked fast and I never fully felt the microneedling. I was red and a bit puffy afterwards, but not to the point of needing time off work, and all was coverable with light makeup. Loved my results- as my colleagues put it, I looked like I was wearing a "skin filter."  YES! Go see her!
